Since ancient times, Kahwa (Tea) has been considered a staple of Kashmiri cuisine. The addition of saffron makes it a warming beverage that aids in surviving the chilly winters. Because Kashmiri Kahwa has a large amount of saffron, which helps the body reenergize and activate its defensive system, it naturally contains a lot of vitamin B12 reserves. Particularly during the winter, this prevents illnesses and infections from entering the body.
Every region in Kashmir takes pride in it, and each has its own special formula and combination for Kashmiri Kahwa. An earlier generation of Kashmiris believed that Kahwa arrived in Kashmir via the silk route. However, a lot of the locals think that it came from the Yarkand valley in the first or second century, under the Kushan era. A brass kettle called a samovar is used initially to brew the exotic blend of Kahwa, which consists of Kashmiri green tea leaves, whole spices, almonds, and saffron. Hot coal is placed in the samovar's centre cavity, and the area around it is used to heat the water and other components for the tea.
